Bringing Tipperary’s Story to Life: My Mural at Rancho Coastal Humane Society Featured on CBS8!

I’m beyond excited to share that my latest mural at the Rancho Coastal Humane Society has been featured on CBS Channel 8! This project has been an incredible journey, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to help bring awareness to such a special cause.

The Story Behind the Mural
The Humane Society is currently undergoing a massive renovation, and they wanted a mural that not only celebrated their mission but also told a story that resonates with the community. That’s when I learned about Tipperary (“Tippy”)—the longest-term resident at the shelter. Tippy has been waiting for a forever home for over four years, and her story immediately captured my heart.

We decided to bring her to life in a way that couldn’t be ignored—on a 40-foot shipping container, visible from the busy I-5 highway near Encinitas! My goal was to create an artwork that captured her spirit, her resilience, and the hope that she’ll soon find a loving home.

A Larger-than-Life Celebration of Tippy
The mural is a bright, vibrant depiction of Tippy running down a hill, full of joy and energy. It’s designed not only to celebrate her but to inspire those who see it. I’m hoping that with the exposure from both the mural and the CBS8 feature, someone will step forward to adopt her.

In the meantime, this mural will remain a permanent fixture of the Rancho Coastal Humane Society, a testament to their mission and a celebration of the animals they care for. Visible from the I-5, I hope this mural serves as a reminder of the importance of adoption and animal welfare for years to come.

A Huge Thank You to CBS8 and the Community
I’m incredibly honored to have been featured on CBS8 and to share this story with a wider audience. The response from the community has been overwhelming, and I’m excited to see what the future holds for Tippy and the Rancho Coastal Humane Society.

If you’re in the area, I encourage you to stop by and see the mural in person. And if you or someone you know is looking for a furry companion, consider giving Tippy the home she deserves.

Thank you for all your support—this journey has been one of the highlights of my career as a muralist, and I can’t wait to continue creating art that tells meaningful stories and engages the community.
