Sunset Cliffs in San Diego is one of my favorite places to paint en plein air. Being immersed in the sounds of crashing waves, golden dusk sunlight and the smell of the ocean is nothing short of inspiring. This painting depicts the north-facing view from the cliffs, during my favorite time at dusk, when the distant lights of San Diego begin to twinkle on as night begins to cast over the city.
